THE POWER OF NATURE
  THE POWER OF THE TREES
Shiraki Orchards has almost 100 years of history.
Four generations have watched over this land.
Tha Shiraki family started producing Buntans in the 1950's.
Suffering through cold waves only to lose all their trees.
They honed their growing skills and continued moving on.
The shirakis' are proud to boast of the best quality in all of Japan.

Growing Buntans close to nature and with the help of the sun,
maximizes the power of the trees.
The rainfall, amount of sunshine, affects one way or the other,
how a crop will grow. Every year, we grow as if it is our first year.
EVERYDAY HARD WORK AND EFFORT IS THE DECIDING FACTOR FOR THE TASTE
Good sunlight and southern facing mountainsides with good water drainage are the best conditions for growing Buntans.
The picked Buntans are placed inside a framework and covered to ripen them further and balance the tertness with the sweetness.
THE SEEDS THAT BRING LIFE
Buntans have many seeds. Some people think they are "too troublesome to eat". But those seeds are proof that the fruit has filled itself with the grounds nutrients, so that it may continue with the next generation.

ROOTS OF THE TOSA BUNTAN
The roots of the Buntan are said to come from S.E.Asia, specifically from Malasia and Indonesia. Then, introduced to other countries as the same type of fruit.
